Have you been looking for a way to generate your own leads from
a particular state, province, city or town? Did you have a very
specific geographical area that you wanted to generate your
leads from? If so you need look no further then the Google
Adwords advertising program.
Through the Google Adwords advertising program you have the
ability to purchase keywords which are the terms you want to be
found under when someone types in a Google search. You only pay
when someone clicks on your ad and you can determine what that
cost will be. You can literally have your advertisement on the
very first page of Google for pretty much any keywords you wish
to be found under providing you have a high enough bid.
Google has a feature you can use called "geo-targeting" and the
cool part about geo-targeting is that you can choose where in
the world geographically your ads are going to be displayed. You
can select countries, states, provinces, major cities and towns
and if you want to get really specific you can even enter
longitude and latitude coordinates to target your advertising.
Through the IP address of the searcher Google is able to control
the display of your ads to only searchers from the region you
have specified.
Why would this be valuable to someone using Google Adwords?
If you live in a large city (or are surrounded by large cities)
then you would be surprised at how many people may be searching
for what you are offering. You would probably agree that it
could be beneficial to your business if you had a steady supply
of fresh local leads for your opportunity. By geo-targeting your
lead generation campaigns through Google you can literally
generate leads from almost anywhere you want!
One of the benefits to geo-targeting with Google besides
generating local leads would be that you'll also be bidding
against less competition. On very high traffic keywords you'll
be able to spend less money because you're only dealing with
those searches from a specific region and not the entire globe.
Obviously you will be dealing with a lower volume of traffic but
it's extremely targeted.
If you target and word your advertisement around the
geographical area you are targeting and the lead capture page is
also worded for the specific regions you are targeting you will
also see a significant boost in your overall conversion rate.
Boosting your conversion means more leads for you with the same
advertising dollars! Targeting your ad and landing page is as
simple as this...
Let's say you have a business opportunity and you really want to
get a team started in Texas. You could geo-target your campaign
to the entire state of Texas. Since we are targeting Texans we
might want to make sure our Advertisement reflects that. So you
could say for example:
"Texas Business Opportunity" Opportunity For Texas
Residents. Earn Money From Home In Texas.
That's just a very simple ad targeted to people in Texas. When
people from Texas see that ad they are much more likely to click
on it then an ad that isn't targeted directly to them. When you
can create a connection with the surfer you have a better chance
of bringing them through to your site.
When the user clicked on that ad they would be delivered to your
lead capture page (you must have a lead capture page to generate
leads) your lead capture page must also reflect the fact that
this was a "Texas Business Opportunity" you must keep your
marketing message consistent if you hope to have the best
possible conversion rate.
Obviously because we have geo-targeted our Google Adwords lead
generation campaign to the state of Texas we would then be
generating leads interested in a business opportunity that were
from Texas just like we wanted. You probably already know how
valuable this information could be for your business. By
geo-targeting your advertisements you can literally generate
real time leads from anywhere in the world you want.
