Many years ago, I lived with my wife and children in Australia, employed by a “Direct Mail Advertising “ company.

Now we are in the computer age business people also collect email addresses, which are sold to their clients, on the Internet. However, emails collected in this way are not always prime email addresses. Many of the addresses collected; finish up in a junk mail inbox, without being read. Therefore, it’s important to collect and send out, large numbers of email addresses, in order to attract orders, for products and services on offer.

In recent years’ people are reluctant to quote their prime email addresses because large quantities of email would arrive at their Inbox’s, every day and become a nuisance to them.

Although I’m careful not to give out my prime email address, I do receive about 30 emails each day, via my prime email address. Many of the emails I receive carry a “Remove” facility at the end of the message. However, this “remove” facility does not function on about 10% of my mail. Auto responder sends many of the emails I receive. If their “remove” function is not active, I could receive up to 20 repeat emails, over a period of time, from the same advertiser. As a businessperson, no doubt, you’ve experienced the same situation with your emails.

If and when you decide to create an email address list, make sure you don’t waste time and effort by sending emails to people that you know will not be interested in your product or service. Create your list based on the following criterion:

Obtain your list by category.

Identify your potential customers.

Use quality Autorespoders.

Make sure your email has a “remove” facility.

Whenever possible, obtain prime email addresses.

When you’ve prepared your advert – send a test email to your own prime email address and test the “remove” facility, you won’t be accused of Spam then.

By creating your email list, in this way, you will ensure that you target the people that may be interested in your product or service. Large volumes of email are sent out daily. Its important that everyone should be responsible for creating and sending out their emails because unless they are, “Spam” will be controlled by many more restrictions that will be introduced in the future.

Everyone that monitors the email they send sends out, knows it’s difficult to achieve more than a 4% click thru rate, which means that every 25 emails sent out, should on average, achieve one click thru – Based on that percentage rate, 1,000 emails sent out should achieve 40 clicks thru. These percentages depend on how you create your Headlines for your advert. If you keep a record of your click thru rates, you will be able to make changes to your Headlines and either maintain the 4% click thru rate or increase it.

Email lists, require constant updating so your products and services, reach their target. Emails can be purchased for as low as $00.001 – 10,000 would cost you $10. However, for that low price, you wouldn’t be purchasing emails by category. Shop around the Internet, if you intend to purchase emails, keep in mind that $10 purchased for 10,000 emails, is probably the lowest price you’ll find, which have any value.
